We believe a startup is an emerging company living in conditions of extreme uncertainty, with an uncertain business model. We believe talent is distributed equally around the world, but opportunity is not. That's why many Brazilian entrepreneurs never reach the mythical status of unicorn founder.

Maybe it’s because the market needs more of a startup culture. Maybe it’s because we see investment rounds that don’t make sense. Whatever the reason, we do it differently.

STOXS invests US$50,000 for a 1.25% equity stake. This is our investment agreement.

We aim to be the first investor in startups founded by teams of 2 or 3 co-founders who are already working exclusively on the company. We look for talented founders with a clear view of the problem and relevant experience in the market they want to pursue; ideally, the team has more than 10 to 15 years of combined experience. We prioritize companies targeting markets worth more than US$25 billion per year that want to pursue the full Venture Capital path.

Whenever we invest, we provide support with the bureaucracy and activate our network of contacts to help founders focus on achieving Product-Market Fit.

Our investment is just the initial spark. We expect that, after our round, the startup will raise a new round within 6 months. When that happens, we will participate with at least US$100,000, subject to the terms of the lead investor.
